Sissa riding

We took a guided ride thru the beech woods of Frostavallen last weekend. My younger daughter fell in love with the Icelandic pony Kolstjarni, so I made this painting for her great day. Happy birthday, Sissa!

The studio is ready

So the reason why I've had so little painting time the last year is this new studio that Maria and I have been building. But we just appointed it with some used furniture that we got from our friends, so it's ready to use! Thanks a lot, everybody who helped us build the house, especially Johnny whos forbearance with our technical ignorance has been priceless.

Field kit

My minimizing experiments just led to a three-color palette comprizing Quinacridone gold, Perylene maroon, and Phtalo blue, later to be accompanied by a Fabriano sketchbook that I will ask a bookbinder to make for me. These eiders are my first attempt with this new kit.
